Katy Perry is celebrating her grandmother’s 95th birthday by posting a profane wish on Instagram on Tuesday to Ann Hudson. See the photo below.
Perry’s Instagram picture shows Hudson wearing a Happy Birthday hat and appearing remarkably unimpressed as she blows a party horn. Alongside the photo, Perry wrote, “Hasn’t had a single [expletive] to give for 95 years now. #hbdgma.”
It’s clear the singer has plenty of reverence for her grandma. She previously told Capital FM that Hudson is “so funny. She does not acknowledge any of my success, which I am totally okay with. But she’s so full of sass.” Perry also recalled in the interview one of her favorite stories about her grandmother, noting, “She talks about how she had to babysit us and she goes, ‘It was just awful.’”
In the past, Perry brought her grandmother as her red carpet date to the 2011 Grammys and 2012 Billboard Awards. She also took Hudson to the July 2013 premiere of Smurfs 2, where her grandma revealed to one of the entertainment shows that she used to work as a seamstress in Las Vegas and made G-strings for showgirls.
