Drake and Serena Williams are NOT engaged, despite a new tabloid report, Extreme Entertainment has learned. A rep for the rapper says the rumor is “completely untrue.”
According to OK!, Drake secretly proposed to the tennis pro in Toronto shortly after the U.S. Open. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “She said yes, but they want to keep it on the down-low for now.”
It should be noted that neither Drake nor Williams have officially confirmed that they’re in a relationship, despite the speculation. As Extreme Entertainment reported, the two did appear to be hooking up at a Cincinnati restaurant this past August. Photos emerged of the rapper and athlete seemingly locking lips, but again, neither party has publicly admitted to the romance.
Regardless, the magazine’s alleged “insider” goes on to claim that Drake has been in love with the tennis star since first meeting her in 2011, and supposedly “now that he has her, he isn’t letting her go.” No matter what their official status may be, Extreme Entertainment hears from other sources as well that Drake and Williams are certainly not engaged. As noted above, the official word from Drake’s rep is that talk of the singer and Williams being engaged is “completely untrue.”
