Jessica Simpson did NOT threaten to take her parents “off her payroll” because they allegedly keep pressuring her to go to rehab, despite a fabricated tabloid report. Extreme Entertainment can exclusively correct this story. We’re told it’s “totally false.”
According to Life & Style, Simpson’s parents Tina and Joe Simpson were upset their daughter was supposedly drunk during her HSN appearance last month. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “They are scared to death that Jessica has a problem and fear she’s going to crash and burn.” It should be noted, Simpson was not under the influence of any substances during her TV appearance.
Still, the magazine’s questionable “insider” claims the situation has “exploded into a family feud,” saying, “She told Joe and Tina that they can shut up or get off her payroll.” The alleged “insider” adds, “She’s pissed they made such a big deal about her HSN appearance, and now they’re barely speaking.”
None of this, however, is true, and Simpson certainly does not have any sort of drug or alcohol problem. This has been a recurring, yet inaccurate tale from Life & Style. And Extreme Entertainment has repeatedly busted the tabloid for its untrue stories.
We recently corrected the magazine for wrongly alleging Simpson and her mom were headed to “mother-daughter rehab.” And before that, Extreme Entertainment busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting Simpson’s marriage to Eric Johnson was “crumbling,” due to alleged drug and alcohol abuse. Much like those provably inaccurate stories, Extreme Entertainment is once again exclusively told by a source close to Simpson that this latest rehab claim is “totally false.”
